With many years of experience in the industry, our family-run company has expanded greatly. What started with a £10 family loan to its founder, Jack Tasker, Taskers has now become one of the UK’s leading and most innovative independent home stores.

We have two large stores at Aintree and Hunts Cross where we employ over 150 experienced staff with many over 25 years experience. Each store has fabulous displays and huge stocks. Both of our stores also have full disabled access and parking, plus a delicious bistro.

Our Service

Taskers is one of the country's leading and largest home furnishing stores trading in the Northwest for over 65 years. We stock quality furniture, garden furniture, home accessories, mirrors, rugs, lighting, Christmas products and much more.

Taskers specialises in supplying our growing customer base within the Northwest area through our own fleet of vehicles and experienced technicians. We deliver, assemble furniture, and take away packaging with our Platinum Delivery service on our own vehicles that can be tracked down to your doorstep. We only deliver within the Northwest to ensure that we control every aspect of our unique service.

Smaller non-breakable items are sent via parcel carriers within the same geographical area. We have a full customer service team that look after all our lovely customers.

Our bustling Bistros are located at our Aintree and Hunts Cross stores. We use sustainably sourced, fresh local produce served in an elegant yet relaxed space with a menu covering, breakfast, lunch, ground coffees, cake, and fabulous afternoon teas. Catering for all needs, we provide allergy alerts and appetizing vegetarian options with good wheelchair access.

Our Heritage

Taskers has over 65 years' experience serving our valued Northwest customer base. Starting from humble beginnings in a corner shop in the 1950's, Taskers has never lost sight of its most valuable assets, its customers and its staff.

1950's

Freeland Street, Kirkdale in 1950's. This followed the very first store in Goodison Road, Walton. Founder Jack Tasker far right.

Early 1960's

114 Westminster Road, Kirkdale early 1960's. The company at that time was 50% retail sales and 50% shop fitting with its own team of joiners.

Mid 1960's

Entrance to Utting Avenue store. Opened in 1970. This building was originally the Ritz Cinema built in the 1930's and is still standing today.
